Washington, D.C.

Bright and early on Saturday (actually super dark and super early is more what 5 am looks like) Julianna, Clare, our moms and I all left Boston to spend a nice long weekend in Georgetown! Julianna's birthday was on Tuesday and mine is at the end of the month, so the trip was somewhat of a birthday getaway. We had amazing weather, great food and lots of fun shopping and walking around the city. DC is absolutely perfect and to top it off the Georgetown neighborhoods and picture perfect (post on that coming soon)! Although all of us have been to the city multiple times, there are always new things to see and the "touristy" things are always fun!

On the first day, we went to see the Georgetown campus which was absolutely amazing! Clare's cousin goes there and gave us a great tour!

We went out to dinner right on the river, although the food was not great the views made up for it.

Fall foliage, the Potomac River and great weather

*ignore the sneakers*

I would never get sick of this view!

The World War II Memorial was our favorite, it is so pretty and very well done.

View from the top of the Newsuem

On one of the days it was 70 degrees which was a nice change coming from the cold in Boston.
