I love buying cute athletic clothes, I guess if my outfit is cuter I have more motivation to actually workout. Seriously, if you have never stepped foot into a Lululemon store you are missing out. With the weather warming up, I will actually be able to start running outside again! My friends and I made a challenge on the Nike+ app which is a fun way to motivate yourself and have a little competition, we even throw in a pedicure for the winner! I have been trying to go to the gym 3-4 times a week in the past two months (see my routine here) since it has been so chilly. Jean Jacket

Jean jackets have been on my radar for the past few months. I love the pulled together "city chic" look that you can create with them, plus they are a great layering piece for spring or chilly summer nights. I knew that I really wanted to purchase one to add to my closet, however I was not sure how often I would actually wear it. I thought I would give the look a try and order a super inexpensive one. Initially, I went to Old Navy to see if I could find one that I liked there, as they typically have pretty good dupes for J. Crew. Unfortunately, I did not love any of the styles or washes. So, I took a little trip down memory lane to seventh grade and checked out Forever 21. Surprisingly, I was able to find the perfect (and super cheap- $22.90) jean jacket there! I purchased the medium wash. It is very comfortable and has a worn-in feel. Today I went to a local train stop to take a few pictures. I love the look of the denim jacket paired with a simple black dress and nude flats. If I end of wearing this a lot, I might consider investing in a nice one from J. Crew or Madewell. What are your thoughts on jean jackets?

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! With the first week of April under our belts, we are getting closer to summer! We have been taking standardized tests all week, so apologies for the lack of outfit pictures. I pretty much lived in a variation of leggings, sweatpants, oversized shirts and sweatshirts, not the most fashionable  but certainly comfortable for hours of tests. We finally got outside for golf practice and was so nice to see a little sunshine after such a long winter. I am looking forward to Easter this weekend and pulling out some cute spring clothes! 

One: Pops of Pink 

I am low key obsessed with this pink Kate Spade Purse. How adorable would this be with some navy and white stripes in the Summer. The classic shape makes it very versatile, but the color makes a nice statement to any outfit. 

Two: Gap Spring Arrivals 

I feel like with Gap it is really a hit or a miss, but I am loving the simplistic pieces along with the subtle colors. I recently purchased this and this. They have lots of flowy knit tees that would be great for spring and summer. I tried on the shirt pictured last weekend. Although I did not purchase it, the yellow was so fun and it would look great with white jeans. 

Two: Gearing up for Easter 

It's no secret that I am obsessed with flowers, especially tulips. The light pink is perfect for the table this Easter. I definitely guilty of indulging in some Easter candy. My friend Clare gave me a pack of peeps- if you're reading this, thanks :) They are one of those candies that are so good because they only come out at this time of the year!

Recently I have been obsessing over rompers, I don't really know why but they are just really catching my eye! I have spend hours (not exaggerating) looking absolutely everywhere to find the perfect one. Surprisingly it has been very hard for me to find one I love. Do you ever just have an image of exactly what you want and can't find it in person? I think that's what is happening to me. I am really hoping that I can finally find one to add to my wardrobe soon! I have rounded up a few that I like, some of which from extremely random places. Right now, I think this is my favorite because it is so versatile. What are your thoughts on rompers?

Easter Gift Guide

Happy April everyone! Another month has flown by and we are just one step closer to summer which always makes me happy! I am honestly in disbelief that Easter is this weekend, it is so early this year which is a little bit of a bummer. It is supposed to be freezing here on Sunday and I'm not really sure what to wear, If you have any suggestions please let me know! Anyways, I have always loved Easter. My family usually goes to Cape Cod with my cousins, I bring out my favorite spring pastels and eat a yummy brunch! I also love waking up in the morning and doing easter baskets. Although my sister and I are both passed the Easter Bunny days, carrying out the tradition is so fun. After I consume my weight in jelly beans and chocolate bunnies we head off to church with our family. When we get back to the house my parents usually have a small gift for us. Ever since we were little our Easter gifts usually have had something to do with spring break because we have vacation in late April. Personally, I think that bathing suits, flip flops and nail polish make the perfect little gifts and are a cute way to transition into spring! Do you have any fun plans for this weekend?
