I don't think I have ever been so happy to see Friday, this week has gone by so slowly! I am so excited for this weekend, as I am heading down to Washington, D.C. with Julianna and our friend Clare for four days- lots of pictures to come! I have been enjoying a few (somewhat random) things this week and thought I would share them!
One: Words With Friends
I know you are probably thinking wow, this game still exists; I haven't heard about it since 2011?! That was what I thought when all my friends began playing it again, but I am hooked. I barely have any games on my phone because I just never find myself playing them and they take up so much space, but I highly recommend downloading (or redownloading) this app and challenging your friends!
Two: Black and Gold Tory Burch Reva Flats
As I mentioned earlier this week in my Olive Green post, I went through three rounds of return to finally get the right size, so a month later I finally have them and am OBSESSED! These flats are so comfortable and the black is the perfect color for fall. I find myself wearing more gold jewelry, so I opted for the black and gold, but if you are more of a silver person, definitely check out this pair!
Three: Apple Cake
This is super random, but I have been loving this apple cake that I made this week. Here is the recipe if you are interested- it's amazing is great for the fall or even Thanksgiving!
3 cups of apples- peeled and sliced thin, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over apples and place in a bowl.
3 cups of flour
2 cups of sugar
1 cup of cooking oil
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup apple juice or orange juice
put all ingredients in another large bowl and beat until mixed well. Pour half the batter into greased and floured tub pan. Place half the apples on top, then pour the rest of the batter and place the remaining apples on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1.5-2 hours. Enjoy!
Let me know if you make the cake I would love to hear your thoughts!
