Gift Guide: Under $150

Whether you are still a little stumped about what to put on your list, or are on the hunt for the perfect gift for someone else, all six of these items would be perfect. The holidays can get expensive quickly, these items are all very nice but keep the price reasonable. I own all of these things and use them to death, they appeal to a wide variety of ages and styles as well! One of the traditions my family has is getting new pajamas on Christmas Eve. This navy J. Crew set is classic and can be worn throughout the year. If you, or the person you are shopping for lives somewhere that gets cold, bean boots, moccasins, or a Patagonia pull over are all great options. Finally for the traveler, this Tuckernuck monogrammed duffle bag is a serious winner.

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone!! This week has been crazy and I am so happy that we only have a week and a half left until break! My friend is having a bunch and yankee swap this sunday and I am so excited to celebrate the holidays with all my friends. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

One: Christmas Tree
Last weekend my family and I picked out our tree at this super cute spot in Vermont. Now that it is decorated and the lights are up, it officially feels like the holiday season. Also, is there anything that smells better than a Christmas tree?!

Two: Skiing
Last weekend officially kicked off the start of ski season and I am so excited to be back on snow! It was super warm and sunny and the conditions were pretty good for early in the season.

Three: Jingle Ball
Last night a bunch of my friends and I went to Jingle Ball, hence the delayed post. These concerts are always so much fun as you get to see a ton of different artists! The weeknd and Clavin Harris were by far and away my favorites and I was so excited to see them as I missed their performance at the music festival I went to last spring!

Favorite Holiday Snacks

One of my absolute favorite things about the holidays is the food. Although I love to bake all sorts of yummy treats, there are also so many delicious and limited edition items at the grocery store right now that you need to try! I am such a sucker for all things peppermint and am always on the hunt for new products. Every December Trader Joe's releases their peppermint oreos and it is seriously the highlight of my day when there is a fresh box on the kitchen counter when I get home from school.

99% of the time when it comes to coffee I hate any added flavoring, but the one exception is the Starbucks peppermint mocha. Last winter I was at the grocery store and I saw that they sell Starbucks peppermint hot chocolate mix! Sometimes I drink it just as hot chocolate, but mixing it with coffee and making my own mocha is the best, plus the whole box costs the same a grande so it's a #winwin!

Finally, in the snack department, I am obsessed with gingerbread Cliff bars. These are great if you don't have time for breakfast, or stash some in your car if you need a snack on the go. This is seriously the best flavor ever, so don't miss out because they're limited edition!

What are your favorite holiday snacks?

What to Wear: Winter Concert

Tomorrow night my friends and I are all going to the Jingle Ball in Boston! I have perfected the art of picking out outfits for summer concerts but winter ones prove to be a little more difficult. It is going to be pretty chilly outside, but you don't want to show up in your patagonia pullover and bean boots. I am loving this outfit, it's very simple and relaxed but still chic. There is nothing worse than wearing something uncomfortable to a concert that you can't move around it, so wearing your favorite jeans and flowy top is the perfect option. Also, indoor venues tend to get really hot when they're packed with people and the stage equipment, so keep that in mind when planning your outfit. What's your go-to winter concert look?

Get into the Holiday Spirit

I am so excited for Christmas! We got our tree this past weekend and are going to decorate it this week, the wreaths are up and the lights are in the windows. It is officially the most wonderful time of the year! While school is in full gear at the moment, it is still one of my top priorities to actually get into the Christmas spirit. There are so many little things to do over the next 13 days.

+ Drive around town// One thing that I absolutely love about my town is how beautiful it is at Christmas time. Every single house on the main street has little candles in the windows, lights on the trees and wreaths on the front doors. Taking a little time at night to drive around and look at festive decorations is one of my favorite things to do.

+ Listen to Music// Christmas music is a beautiful thing, take advantage of it for the one month that you can.

+ Baking// There are so many delicious holiday recipes to try out. Candy cane brownies, gingerbread houses, and sugar bookies are a few of my favorites. One of my friends has a cookie decorating party every year and it is definitely one of the highlight of my holiday season.

+Yankee Swap// Yankee Swaps are a great way to get together with friends and exchange gifts. This style party is great because everyone leaves with something but you only have to buy one present!

+ Shopping// With Christmas just around the corner, it is time to start shopping for your family and friends. I love going to get coffee (peppermint mocha #festive) with friends and then do some shopping together. You could also go into the city to shop and make a day out of it!

+ Decorate the tree// Finally, my favorite part about the holidays! There is absolutely nothing I look forward to more each year than picking out the tree with my family and then decorating it. Sitting by the cozy fire and unwrapping all the ornaments is the best way to kick off the season.
