Spring into Spring

This weekend was gorgeous! Oh my gosh I am so, so excited to have gotten a little taste of Spring this weekend with blue skies and 70 degrees! Naturally, the first thing I did was pull out my Jack Rogers and a dress. I have been loving swing dresses this past year and I have been finding some really great ones at Old Navy! This dress is so stretchy and comfortable, plus it's striped so obviously I had to buy it! Although it is somewhat of a fashion faux-pas, I have been liking the look of mixing metals, you can't go wrong with a silver and gold stack. I am looking forward to many more lovely days by the sea.

Style Icon: Reese Witherspoon

When it comes to Hollywood style, I always find specific looks I love or single out a piece that I would want to have in my closet. There are not a ton of people who I constantly adore all of their looks, however Reese Witherspoon is the exception. She is one of my favorite actresses and on top of that I adore her style. Her classic style is to die for, yet she also does a nice job of mixing in some trendy pieces. I am obsessed with this airport look and could see myself wearing something very similar. Reese has been spotted many times carrying different L.L. Bean monogrammed totes, they are great quality and can seriously fit so much! White jeans paired with a blue oxford is a great go-to look, comfortable for flying but also presentable. Her accessories are simple but chic and I love her Tretorns! If you don't already follow her on Instagram, she posts super fun pictures and lots of outfits!  Who is your style icon?

Spring has Sprung

Considering that I live in Massachusetts, it's practically a requirement that I be a sports fan. Between the Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, and Red Sox, Boston has a pretty good thing going in the sports department, While the Bruins are (sadly) not in the playoffs, at least the baseball season has begun. Fenway Park is honestly one of the coolest places I've ever been with all the awesome history behind it, and I really hope I get to a game this year. Anyways, while baseball isn't always the most thrilling sport to watch, it was the inspiration for the setting of this post. I live right down the street from some fields and couldn't pass up a post on home base! Besides baseball, another thing that screams spring to me is color. I did a post (here) not too long about my love for the color coral, and it has worked its way into this post as well. I love a pop of color in any outfit, especially when it's in the spring.

Apologies about the shadows and awkward squinting. Contrary to popular belief, 5:00pm is definitely not a prime blogging hour...

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Not to be a Debbie downer or anything, but I am thrilled to see this week come to an end, as it was not one of my favorites. This week we started our fourth and final semester, which seems absolutely crazy! I am excited to be in the final phase of the school year, but am very aware that with this comes heavy workloads. Our Spring Break starts exactly one week from today and getting to sunny Florida is about the only thing keeping me sane. Anyways let's welcome in the weekend and hopefully nice weather to come!

This Gap "spacedye" tee is the most incredible shirt ever. I have never purchased something so comfortable and soft, definitely a must have for anyones wardrobe. Grey is one of my favorite colors to wear in the Fall and Winter and this light heathered look is perfect spring neutral!

Two: Easter
I am such a sucker for Easter candy and it has become a problem. Overdosing on Jelly beans is a thing- side effects include sugar rush and headaches. I am also loving two new pink Essie colors that the Easter bunny left in my basket! The light pink is the color "Fiji" and the hot pink is "Mod Square".

Three: Lemon Water
With all of the Easter candy I have consumed in the past week, I have been working out a lot and drinking lots of water, particularly lemon water. In the summer I love putting different fruits in my water, but why limit that to a single season? Adding a few slices of lemon to water makes the taste a little more crisp and refreshing!

Spring Sneakers

one | two | three | four | five | six
Cute and comfortable, two essential things that I look for when purchasing shoes. There is absolutely nothing worse than getting bad blisters from your shoes, even if they are adorable. In the Spring, I am always in need for shoes somewhere between Bean Boots and Jack Rogers. I am a huge fan of my Sperrys! I have been wearing them since my wonderful middle school days and they rock. I mean if 80 year old men can confidently wear them they must be practical and comfortable. Although I love my Sperrys and they go with practically everything, I have also been loving the sneaker trend for spring. Keds and Vans are the most popular brands people wear at my school, but I just don't really like them. Brands like TretornSuperga, and Converse carry my favorite styles. I love the Jack Purcells from Converse. Many bloggers have been styling them recently and they are a cute twist on the classic converse. I also am obsessed with the Tretorns. When I mentioned this to my mom she laughed as they were the style when she was in high school and college. I think the white is great because it goes with everything and they have different colors on the sides, personally the navy is my favorite but the pink is also cute. I am going to Italy this summer and I think investing in a pair would be great for all the walking I will be doing. Let me know what pair do you think I should purchase!
