Washington, D.C. Recap

This past weekend, I went down to DC to visit one of my friends from camp. My plane got in early in the afternoon on Friday and then we went into Georgetown. I was lucky enough to get to go to Georgetown twice this year, once in the fall, and again this weekend. It is one of the most adorable palaces I have ever been and could go back all the time. The lamps with pink flowers lined the quaint M Street, along with many beautiful buildings. We did a little bit of shopping and then went to one of my favorite place, Dean and Deluca. Unfortunately, we do not have one in Boston, so whenever I am near one, stopping by in a must. I kid you not, they have the best coffee in the world and lost of other yummy treats.

On Saturday morning, we went out to breakfast and had some delicious pancakes (I'm a sucker for breakfast food). Afterwards, we got ready for the concert. The 90 degree weather was so nice and we had such a blast. Some of my favorite acts were Bleachers, Tove Lo, and Kendrick Lamar. The 2 days flew by so quickly, but it was worth ever second, even staying up late on Sunday to finish homework. Although having close friends that live far away is kind of a bummer, every time you see them is so exciting! I didn't really have any time to take blog pictures while I was there and did not bring my camera with me. However, I thought that it would still be fun to share a few snaps from my iPhone and give a glimpse into my trip!

  5. I highly suggest going to Georgetown for great shopping and delicious restaurants. If you have never been before, make sure to check out all of the monuments, my personal favorite is the Jefferson memorial. Most of the museums are free, so definitely take advantage of that. I like the museum of American History and the Newseum (this one is not free, but definitely my favorite!) Enjoy your trip!
